L'Épi Bakery Group is looking for an experienced and reliable Bookkeeper / Payroll Officer to join our team in Hume, Canberra.

About the role
This is a part-time position, 2–3 days per week, looking after the bookkeeping and payroll for our business.
Your work will include:
- Processing weekly payroll, including wages, superannuation and PAYG
- Interpreting awards and ensuring correct pay rates and entitlements
- Managing accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Bank and account reconciliations
- Preparing and lodging BAS and other ATO obligations
- Maintaining accurate financial records and ledgers
- Assisting with month-end and end-of-financial-year processes
- Liaising with our accountant as required
- Maintaining confidentiality and high standards of accuracy
About you
We would love to hear from you if you have professional experience as a Bookkeeper, Payroll Officer or in a similar finance and administration role.
Experience with payroll and award interpretation is particularly important.
Experience in the following areas would also be highly regarded:
- Payroll processing and superannuation
- BAS preparation and ATO compliance
- Accounting software Xero
- Bank reconciliations and end-of-month processes
- Bookkeeping in a hospitality, retail or high-volume environment
