We are seeking a driven and commercially astute professional to join our team to support the successful delivery of large-scale road and civil construction projects across Australia.
Reporting to senior leadership, you will play a critical role in managing the commercial and contractual aspects of major projects, ensuring strong contract governance, risk mitigation and drive value across the project lifecycle.
Key responsibilities include:
Lead all contractual and commercial aspects of projects from initiation to completion
Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders including project, finance, legal and procurement teams
Track financial performance ensuring profitability and compliance with contractual obligations
Manage payment claims, variations, and contractual notifications in accordance with contract requirements and deadlines
Evaluate works executed in line with contract rates, scope, and approved variations
Maintain subcontractor and supplier agreements
Identify, assess and mitigate commercial contractual risks
Other duties as required
- Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Construction Management, Law or related field
Proven experience as a Commercial or Contracts Manager within construction
Strong background in major projects, ideally within road construction or civil infrastructure
Strong ability to build effective relationships and influence outcomes
Excellent negotiation, stakeholder management and communication skills
