Details: A career opportunity has arisen in ACT Corrective Services (ACTCS) for an experienced, highly motivated and strategic leader to fill the role of Senior Director, Reintegration and Community Partnership (SOGA) within Community Corrections.
The successful applicant will provide strategic leadership of reintegration and community partnership services across ACTCS, ensuring alignment with organisational priorities, human rights obligations and evidence-based practice.
In addition, you will oversee reintegration and throughcare services, the Justice Housing Program, including accommodation and post-release support services, community partnerships, and initiatives designed to improve reintegration outcomes and reduce recidivism.
This role also plays a key role in developing and maintaining strategic partnerships with community organisations, housing providers, government agencies and other stakeholders to strengthen reintegration pathways, support effective throughcare practices and enhance community safety.
Further to this, you will lead strategic reform initiatives across Community Corrections, provide high-level advice to ACTCS Executives and oversee governance, quality assurance and continuous improvement activities.
To be successful, you will demonstrate extensive leadership experience within justice, human services or community-based sectors, together with highly developed strategic thinking, stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills. You will have a proven ability to lead complex programs and deliver organisational outcomes in a dynamic environment.

Eligibility/Other Requirements:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications and/ or equivalent correctional experience are desirable.

To be eligible for permanent or temporary employment within the ACT Public Service (ACTPS) you must be an Australian citizen, a permanent resident or hold a valid work visa.

If an officer no longer holds a visa that permits them to work in Australia, their employment with the ACT Public Service (ACTPS) will be terminated.
Note: A Merit Pool will be established from this selection process and will be used to fill vacancies over the next 12 months.
