About the role – 2 x Casual Positions | Northern Suburbs (Parafield/Salisbury)
Join our Disability Pathways team as a Casual Disability Support Worker, supporting two NDIS participants across Parafield and Salisbury. These roles offer approximately 24 hours per week across morning, afternoon, evening, and active shifts, with the opportunity to pick up additional shifts as they become available.
In this role, you will provide person-centred support that enables participants to make choices, build on their strengths, maintain their independence, and work towards their individual goals. Support may include assistance with daily living tasks, attending appointments, developing skills, and participating in meaningful community activities.
You will be supporting two women with different personalities, interests, and support needs, requiring a flexible and person-centred approach.
One participant enjoys spending time in the community, building positive relationships, learning new skills, and working towards greater independence. She values support workers who are friendly, approachable, and encouraging, and who enjoy creating a relaxed and positive environment.
The second participant is a friendly and social young woman who enjoys shopping, visiting cafés and restaurants, trying new foods, and engaging with her local community. She is seeking a caring and enthusiastic support worker who can support her to participate in the activities she enjoys, maintain her daily routines, and achieve the goals that are important to her while building a positive and trusting relationship.
About you:
You are a compassionate and reliable support worker who is committed to working alongside people to help them live fulfilling and meaningful lives. You bring a positive attitude, strong communication skills, and the ability to adapt your approach to suit individual needs and preferences. Most importantly, you are committed to providing respectful, high-quality support and creating positive experiences for the people you support.
You will also have the following skills and experience:
- Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability) or equivalent.

Experience supporting people with disability, psychosocial disability, or complex support needs.

Knowledge of Positive Behaviour Support and the ability to maintain professional boundaries.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

The ability to build trusting and respectful relationships.

Confidence working independently and as part of a team.

A flexible, reliable, and person-centred approach to support.
