Where you'll be working
Positions that become available through the casual pool may be based at any NSLHD hospital site. Positions across the NSLHD Nutrition Services are appointed at the relevant grading level rather than to a specific clinical area. Allocation to a clinical area will be determined based on departmental operational requirements.
What you'll be doing
The Clinical Dietitian provides a high quality Nutrition and Dietetics service to allocated clinical areas. As a key member of the healthcare team, the Clinical Dietitian is an advocate for nutrition services. The Nutrition and Dietetics service provides a comprehensive range of nutrition services including inpatients, outpatients, ambulatory care and community consumers according to endorsed standards of practice, policy and procedure.
The positions may be required to be part of a 7-day Clinical Dietitian service inclusive of weekends and public holidays as rostered with core working hours of 0800-1630hrs or 0830-1700hrs.

Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:
- Bachelor or post graduate degree in nutrition and dietetics that provides eligibility for full membership of the Dietitians Association of Australia.
- Demonstrate skills and knowledge in the provision of service to consumers, carers and families requiring effective interpersonal communication, networking and collaboration skills.
Demonstrated ability to prioritise and manage workload demands, meet deadlines and complete activities (including ability to work within scope of practice and seek assistance when required).
