newsXpress Carramar is a well-established local newsagency and Lotterywest outlet, proudly serving the Carramar and surrounding community with newspapers, magazines, stationery, giftware and lottery products. We're looking for two experienced, customer-focused senior team members to join us.
The Role
We currently have two casual positions available. This is a great opportunity for someone with previous lotto or retail experience who enjoys delivering great customer service and is confident taking on extra responsibility in a busy store environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide friendly, efficient and professional customer service
- Operate the Lotterywest lotto terminal, including sales, redemptions and customer enquiries
- Process transactions accurately using EFTPOS, cash and the point-of-sale system
- Balance the till and complete cash handling and banking procedures
- Assist with receiving, pricing and merchandising stock (newspapers, magazines, stationery, giftware)
- Support day-to-day store opening and closing procedures
- Guide and support junior team members
- Maintain high standards of store presentation
- Handle customer queries and resolve issues professionally
What We're Looking For
- Previous lotto or retail experience is preferred
- A confident, friendly and professional customer service manner
- Comfortable handling cash and EFTPOS transactions, with strong attention to detail
- Able to work independently and take initiative
- Reliable, punctual and well presented
- Flexible availability, including mornings, weekends and public holidays
- Full working rights in Australia
