Disability Support Workers Required!
Assigned Guardian Angel is seeking a compassionate, reliable, and proactive Support Worker to provide ongoing support to an adult participant recovering from a traumatic injury.
This is an excellent opportunity for a support worker who enjoys building meaningful relationships, promoting independence, and making a positive difference in someone's daily life.
About the Role
The participant requires support with daily living activities, routine development, medication prompting, community participation, and rehabilitation goals.
Support will include:
- Personal care prompting and assistance with morning routines
- Medication reminders and welfare checks
- Meal planning and preparation
- Household tasks including laundry, shopping, and cleaning
- Community access and social participation
- Appointment support as required
- Encouraging independence and routine development
Hours Available
Approximately 24–30 hours per week, including:
Morning Shifts
- Primarily between 8:00am and 11:00am
- Available most days of the week
Community Access Shifts
- Mid-week and weekend community-based support shifts
Evening Welfare Checks
- Short daily welfare and medication support visits
- Approximately 5:00pm – 5:30pm
Additional hours may become available to support rehabilitation activities, appointments, and community participation.
About You
We are looking for someone who is:
- Reliable, punctual, and professional
- Patient and supportive
- Confident working independently
- Experienced in disability, rehabilitation, aged care, mental health, or community services
- Passionate about promoting independence and participant choice
- Able to build rapport and maintain professional boundaries
- Strong in communication and documentation
Essential Requirements
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Current First Aid & CPR
- Australian Driver's Licence
- Comprehensive Vehicle Insurance
- Reliable vehicle
- Right to work in Australia
Desirable
- Experience supporting participants with cognitive impairment, acquired brain injury (ABI), traumatic brain injury (TBI), or rehabilitation needs
- Experience with community access and independent living support
