Lead payroll operations for one of Australia’s most iconic retail businesses.
At Hanes Australasia, we're home to some of Australia's most loved brands including Bonds, Sheridan, Bras N Things and Berlei. We're looking for an experienced Payroll Operations Manager to lead our payroll function and team, ensuring accurate, compliant and timely payroll delivery across a complex, multi-site workforce. Based in our Kew Support Centre, this is an opportunity to combine operational excellence, people leadership and continuous improvement in a role that has a direct impact on our people experience.
What you'll be doing
- Lead the end-to-end payroll function, ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time.
- Ensure compliance with payroll legislation, awards, enterprise agreements and company policies.
- Oversee payroll reporting, reconciliations, STP, superannuation and payroll tax obligations.
- Lead, coach and develop the payroll team, creating a high-performing and service-focused culture.
- Partner closely with Finance, People & Culture and business leaders to provide payroll expertise and support.
What you'll bring
- Hands-on experience with Dayforce payroll
- Significant payroll experience, including leadership of a payroll team.
- Strong knowledge of Australian payroll legislation, awards, enterprise agreements, superannuation, payroll tax and award interpretation preferably GRIA (General Retail Industry Award).
- Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical capability.
- Proven ability to manage deadlines, complex payroll environments and competing priorities.
- A proactive, continuous improvement mindset with exceptional attention to detail.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
