We are seeking three reliable and hands-on Trades Assistants to join our Maintenance team at Lapunyah Piggery, Queensland.
This is a Casual position working 50 hours per week, offering overtime and the opportunity to work alongside an experienced Maintenance team.
Roster:
- Monday to Thursday: 6:00am – 4:00pm
- Friday: 6:00am – 2:00pm
- 50 hours per week
Working alongside our experienced Maintenance team, you'll assist with the upkeep and maintenance of site buildings, equipment, machinery and infrastructure, helping to ensure the piggery operates safely and efficiently.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys practical, hands-on work, is mechanically minded and isn't afraid to get their hands dirty.
To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:
- Previous experience as a Trades Assistant, Maintenance Assistant, Farm Hand, Labourer or similar hands-on role.
- Experience using hand tools, power tools and workshop equipment.
- A strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
- Experience working with machinery or mechanical equipment.
- Basic welding or fabrication experience will be highly regarded.
- A strong work ethic and reliable approach to work.
- The ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- A strong commitment to workplace health and safety.
- A current Australian Driver's Licence – essential.
- Reliable transport to and from the site.
- The ability to undertake physically demanding work in both indoor and outdoor environments.
Applicants must:
- Hold a current Australian Driver's Licence and have reliable transport.
- Successfully complete a pre-employment Medical Assessment, including Drug & Alcohol screening.
- Be willing to work within a piggery environment and comply with all biosecurity and animal welfare requirements.
- Be physically capable of performing the requirements of the role.
- Be available to work the required Monday to Friday roster.
