About the Role:
As a Comorbidity Clinician, you will be part of a multidisciplinary team delivering integrated, evidence-based care to people experiencing co-occurring alcohol and other drug (AOD) use and mental health concerns.
Working within the Partners Toward Wellbeing (PTW) program, you will provide comprehensive assessment, treatment and focused psychological interventions that support clients to achieve improved wellbeing and recovery outcomes. You will collaborate closely with AOD Clinicians, Peer Practitioners, General Practitioners and other health professionals to deliver coordinated, person-centred care.
In this role, you will:
Deliver evidence-based interventions for people experiencing co-occurring mental health and AOD concerns.
Undertake comprehensive assessments and develop tailored treatment plans.
Provide integrated counselling, care coordination and therapeutic interventions.
Facilitate therapeutic group programs where appropriate.
Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholders to ensure seamless, person-centred care.
Participate in clinical supervision, professional development and continuous quality improvement activities.
Partners Toward Wellbeing (PTW) is a collaboration between Mission Australia and Sonder, providing integrated treatment for adults experiencing co-occurring mental health and substance use concerns across metropolitan Adelaide.
The program combines clinical expertise with lived experience to deliver counselling, care coordination, peer support and outreach services. PTW has a strong focus on improving access and outcomes for priority populations, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, culturally and linguistically diverse communities, older people and families, helping people achieve lasting recovery through coordinated, evidence-based care.
Experience Requirements:
A minimum of 2 years supervised therapeutic and clinical experience in the area of AOD and/or Comorbidity (AOD & MH).
A minimum of 2 years relevant professional development and /or supervision.
Experience in delivery of evidence based AOD & MH interventions such as cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, recovery orientated interventions, and harm minimisation interventions
Experience in care coordination in an AOD, Mental Health and/or Primary Care Setting
Demonstrated experience working within a fast-paced environment;
Qualifications:
Applicants must hold qualifications in one of the following disciplines:
OR
A Tertiary Qualification in health, welfare, social or behavioural science with demonstrated extensive advanced practice experience or knowledge in the minimum core competencies from the CHCSS00093 Alcohol and Drug Skill Set
Certificate IV in Alcohol and Other Drugs
Other Requirements:
Current or willing to obtain a Working with Children's Check (WWCC)
Current or willing to obtain a National Police Check (NPC)
Current Child Safe Environments (Through Their Eyes) Training (or willing to obtain)
