We are seeking a visionary Senior Manager Financial Services to join our Senior Leadership Team and help lead this transformation.

The Opportunity
Reporting to the General Manager Corporate Services and working across the Senior Leadership Team, you will:

Shape long-term financial strategy aligned to the City’s bold vision for growth and community wellbeing

Guide major investment and infrastructure decisions that will define Playford for decades

Champion financial sustainability and innovation across a complex, high-impact organisation

Lead and inspire a high-performing team of ~30 finance professionals
Oversee a significant portfolio including a $168M operating budget and $2.9B asset base -
Ensure best-practice governance, transparency, and accountability in the stewardship of public resources

Represent finance at Council and Corporate Governance Committee meetings, influencing at the highest levels

You bring:

CA/CPA qualifications and significant senior leadership experience

A proven ability to lead complex financial strategy and deliver outcomes at an executive level

Strong understanding of public accountability and community value creation

The ability to influence, inspire, and build trust across diverse stakeholders

A collaborative leadership style that builds capability and empowers teams

Experience in similarly complex environments will be highly regarded, but your mindset, purpose, and leadership are what matter most.
