What will you be doing?
Assist with the development and implementation of appropriate project management methodology, template, tools and practices to ensure projects consistently deliver to their agreed scope, time and budget. Contribute to the successful tracking of project benefits that are aligned to the strategic direction of Circana and to drive continual business improvement initiative within the PMO.
Job Responsibilities
- Manage both product development and/or client-facing implementation projects assigned by the PMO across the entire project life cycle: from initiation to closure
- Embody the principles of a PMO Centre of Excellence
- Adhere to the company-wide Project Management discipline
- Develop and refine the suite of PMO templates to ensure we deliver a consistent implementation experience for our clients
- Ensure all PMO reporting obligations are fulfilled in a timely and effective manner
- Drive the successful delivery of business outcomes in consultation with the client, project team, business stakeholders and the Project Sponsor
- During the Project Start-up and Initiation phases assist in expanding the business case; define project deliverables, WBS, high level scope, initial estimates, draft schedule and budget. Present recommendations to the Executive Team and senior stakeholders of the project
- Build and maintain strong organisational relationships with effective communications that deliver positive project outcomes
- Perform all project governance responsibilities required for each project. Chair regular meetings including Project Steering Groups, project governance, vendor engagements etc., with timely communication of actions and decision logs
- Proactively manage project issues and risks, ensuring minimal negative impact to project deliverables
- Conduct project post-implementation reviews to ensure ‘lessons learnt’ are captured, communicated and referenced for future projects
- Participate in project management knowledge sharing forums
Requirements
- A highly disciplined project manager with 5+ years’ experience
- Strong experience in rolling out a SaaS-based product with customisations to clients
- Strong experience with both Agile and Waterfall methodologies
- Must be comfortable with a fast paced and dynamic project delivery landscape
- Establishes productive working relationships across senior stakeholders
- Experience managing teams across a portfolio of 3-5 concurrent projects
- Experience working with Big Data and Data Analytics solutions is a plus
- High level of proficiency in the technical aspects of the Project Management discipline
- Detailed knowledge and understanding of portfolio and project interdependencies management
- High level of proficiency in presenting to clients and senior stakeholders
- Working within organisational constraints and selecting an optimal approach
- Experience in defining entry and exit/acceptance criteria of stage gate processes and project phases
- Experience in identifying and managing complex risks and issues
- Experience in defining and implementing best practice processes, standards and templates for PMO functions
- Experience managing multi-discipline resources to meet a common goal
- Understand and successfully apply resource and capacity planning principles
