Want to work at the best large hostel in Oceania? Bounce Melbourne is a buzzing hostel in the heart of the city, home to travellers, locals, and everything in between. We're looking for a genuine all-rounder to step into a second in charge role, someone who can jump between front desk, operations, and problem-solving without missing a beat. You'll be based at Bounce Melbourne, with the opportunity to work shifts behind the bar at our sister property, Roamer St Kilda, right on the beach and home to one of the best bars in the area.
The Role
This isn't a desk job. You'll be the go-to person when the manager isn't around, across pretty much every part of the operation:
- Running day to day front desk operations and guest check-in/check-out
- Supporting rostering, staff supervision, and day-to-day team leadership
- Handling guest issues, bookings, and general property management
- Keeping an eye on stock, supplies, and property standards
- Jumping in wherever's needed, from admin to housekeeping checks to events
- Working bar shifts at Roamer St Kilda as part of the wider role
Bar Work at Roamer St Kilda
As part of this role, you'll pick up bar shifts at Roamer St Kilda, so we need someone who's genuinely comfortable and capable behind a bar. You'll need:
- Current RSA (Responsible Service of Alcohol) certificate, mandatory
- Previous bar experience and busy-service experience highly regarded
- Confidence running a bar solo during quieter shifts
- Basic cash handling and POS experience
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience in hospitality, hostels, or guest-facing roles
- Comfortable wearing a lot of hats and switching gears quickly
- Strong communicator who can lead a shift and support a team
- Available across a flexible roster, including weekends
- A genuine "get stuck in" attitude, no task too big or small

Pay: $65,000.00 – $70,000.00 per year
