As a Career Counsellor, your key responsibilities include:

Provide career entry and transition advice to enable people returning to the workforce to make informed decisions regarding career opportunities and training

Provide support and advice regarding training and educational options to enable students who may be entering the job market for the first time or seeking a career change to understand the options available

Provide confidential, professional and contemporary advice on sustainable industries, emerging careers and training linked to these opportunities
-
Maintain timely and accurate case notes in FastTrack to requirements of the Skills and Job Centre procedures and professional standards and Chisholm protocols.

Take responsibility for the wellbeing of clients/job seekers and other staff where risk is identified.

Employ measured responses to clients/job seekers complex concerns in a demanding and changing environment.

Remain current and provide specialist interpretation of current career practise and industry employment standards, changes in legislation, and policy to ensure accurate advice.

You are a highly motivated individual with significant career counselling experience in in an industry environment.
Qualifications required for the role:

A relevant qualification in Career Development or similar discipline or recognition of experience in career practise
