About The Role.
An exciting opportunity is available for a skilled and compassionate nurse to join the Limestone Coast Local Health Network's Specialist Palliative Care team. Working across community and multidisciplinary settings, you will provide person-centred, evidence-based palliative care that supports patients and families through complex and life-limiting illness.
Depending on your experience and qualifications, you will practise as either a Clinical Nurse (RN2C) or Clinical Nurse Consultant (RN3), delivering expert clinical care while contributing to service improvement, education, leadership and quality outcomes. Applicants with experience in palliative care are highly desirable. We also welcome applications from nurses who have a strong passion for palliative care and are committed to undertaking ongoing professional development and certification in this specialty area.
About You
You are a compassionate and motivated registered nurse with excellent clinical judgement and a commitment to delivering high-quality, person-centred care. You enjoy working collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams and are passionate about supporting patients and families through every stage of their palliative care journey.
To succeed in this role, you will:
Be registered (or eligible for registration) with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and hold a current practising certificate.
Demonstrate sound clinical knowledge and experience relevant to palliative care, or a strong commitment to developing expertise in this specialty.
Have excellent communication, leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships across multidisciplinary teams.
Demonstrate the ability to provide evidence-based, person-centred care while supporting quality improvement and service development.
Hold relevant postgraduate qualifications or specialist palliative care experience (highly desirable), particularly for applicants seeking appointment at the RN/M3 level.
About Specialist Palliative Care
The Limestone Coast Specialist Palliative Care Service provides compassionate, holistic care for people living with life-limiting illness across the region. Working collaboratively with hospitals, community services, general practitioners and residential aged care providers, the team supports patients and their families through symptom management, care planning, education and end-of-life care across a variety of settings.

Conditions of Employment
