Operations Manager – headspace Primary Care
Location: Mount Druitt | with flexibility across four headspace sites
Work Type: Full-Time | Max-term until October 2027 (Maternity Leave Cover with the possibility of extension)
Reports to: General Manager of Mental Health & Wellbeing

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Operations Manager to join our headspace Primary Care Team – (Mount Druitt / Penrith / Hawkesbury (Richmond) / Katoomba).
This is an exciting leadership opportunity to oversee the day-to-day operations across four headspace centres, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, youth-friendly mental health services. The successful candidate can be based at any one of our four headspace sites, with regular travel between centres as required.
Working closely with the General Manager and multidisciplinary teams, you will play a key role in driving operational excellence, supporting service delivery, leading teams, and fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
As Operations Manager, you will:
- Lead the operational management of four headspace sites.
- Support and develop multidisciplinary teams.
- Drive service quality, compliance and continuous improvement.
- Monitor service performance and operational outcomes.
- Build and maintain strong partnerships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Work closely with the General Manager to achieve strategic and operational objectives.
- Foster a positive, inclusive and recovery-oriented culture across the service.
About You
We're looking for someone who brings:
- Demonstrated leadership experience within mental health services.
- A strong understanding of community mental health and recovery-oriented practice.
- Excellent operational, people leadership and stakeholder management skills.
- The ability to lead across multiple sites and manage competing priorities.
- A collaborative and solution-focused approach to leadership.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
Highly Desirable:
- Clinical qualifications and experience (Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy, Nursing or another relevant Allied Health discipline).
- Previous experience managing multidisciplinary mental health teams.
