About the Role
We are currently seeking a compassionate and reliable Support Worker/Carer to assist a client located in the Regents Park area.
The client has expressed a preference for a female support worker of Asian descent who can assist with meal preparation and share authentic Asian cooking skills and recipes. We welcome applications from candidates who are confident in preparing and teaching traditional Asian cuisine.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys cooking, sharing cultural experiences, and providing person-centred support.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with meal preparation and cooking
- Teach and support the client in learning authentic Asian recipes and cooking techniques
- Accompany the client on grocery shopping trips when required
- Provide companionship and social support
- Support participation in community and recreational activities
- Assist with occasional all-day activities
Requirements
- Experience in support work, aged care, disability support, or a similar role preferred
- Knowledge of authentic Asian cooking
- Friendly, patient, and respectful approach
- Current Driver's Licence and reliable transport preferred
- NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain)
- First Aid and CPR certification preferred
Location & Hours
Location: Regents Park Area, Southside Brisbane
Schedule: Flexible shifts available.
While this particular client may require support once a week, additional shifts and hours may be available with other clients across Brisbane's Southside, depending on your availability and suitability.
