About the Opportunity
We're looking for an experienced Network Team Lead to join our IT team in Osborne, SA and lead the delivery of ASC's enterprise network services.
Leading a small team of network professionals, you'll be responsible for maintaining secure, reliable and high-performing network operations while planning and delivering future infrastructure initiatives. You'll balance operational stability with continuous improvement, oversee team priorities and resource planning, and help shape the future direction of ASC's network environment.
Working closely with stakeholders across the business, you'll develop team capability, drive network modernisation, and lead the delivery of strategic projects that support ASC's long-term objectives. This role will suit a technically strong leader who enjoys developing people, stabilising BAU operations, and delivering meaningful technology outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a high-performing network team, managing workloads, priorities and professional growth.
- Ensure the secure, reliable operation of ASC's enterprise network infrastructure across LAN, WAN, wireless and security environments.
- Balance BAU operations with strategic network initiatives, maintaining service stability while driving modernisation and continuous improvement.
- Plan and coordinate team resources, projects and operational activities to meet business objectives.
- Lead incident response, problem management and root cause analysis to improve performance and reduce risk.
- Deliver network assessments, solution design and cost estimates for infrastructure upgrades and new capabilities.
- Contribute to infrastructure strategy, technology roadmaps and future planning initiatives.
- Maintain strong governance, stakeholder relationships and compliance with cybersecurity and regulatory requirements.
About You
- Minimum 8 years' experience designing, implementing and supporting enterprise-scale network environments.
- Minimum 3 years' experience leading technical teams, with a demonstrated ability to develop capability, manage performance and foster a collaborative team culture.
- Proven experience leading complex network projects and managing multiple priorities within a large, operationally critical or highly regulated environment.
- Demonstrated ability to lead through complexity, proactively plan future work, manage competing priorities and maintain strong stakeholder relationships while delivering operational and project outcomes.
- Strong technical expertise across routing, switching, wireless, network security and enterprise infrastructure technologies, with excellent troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills.
- Experience working within security-focused environments, with knowledge of ISM, cybersecurity frameworks, and Cisco and Palo Alto technologies highly regarded.
Eligibility
This role requires a current National Police Clearance and an Australian Defence Security Clearance. Your eligibility for this role is dependent on you obtaining and maintaining such clearance.
Whilst ASC will accept all applications for this role, as this role requires an ability to access protected US defence technology, applicants holding nationality of certain foreign countries will not be eligible.
