We are seeking an experienced and motivated Drainer to join our growing team at Multiple Trades & Maintenance. This role involves the installation, repair, and maintenance of below-ground stormwater, sub-soil, sewer, and sanitary drainage systems across residential, commercial, and civil infrastructure projects.
Working alongside a skilled team, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality drainage solutions while ensuring compliance with industry standards, safety requirements, and project specifications.
Key Responsibilities
· Lay, join, and install pipes for stormwater, sewer, and sub-soil drainage systems.
· Set out trenches and establish correct line, level, and grade using pipe lasers and surveying equipment.
· Locate and clear drainage blockages and identify faults within sanitary drainage systems.
· Repair and replace damaged pipes, fittings, and drainage infrastructure.
· Install, commission, and test septic tanks and wastewater treatment systems.
· Read and interpret site plans, engineering drawings, and technical specifications.
· Ensure all drainage works comply with Australian Standards, plumbing regulations, environmental requirements, and local building codes.
· Safely operate excavation machinery, hand tools, and plant equipment.
· Work collaboratively with machine operators to manage excavations and protect existing underground services.
· Maintain accurate workmanship and quality standards on all projects.
· Follow Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) procedures and contribute to a safe and clean work environment.
Skills & Experience
· Qualification Drainage (or equivalent) or over three years of relevant experience.
· Construction Industry White Card.
· Experience installing and maintaining drainage systems.
· Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications.
· Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
· Commitment to safe work practices.
