About the Role
The Public Relations and Communications Officer is responsible for developing, implementing and evaluating strategic marketing, communications and public relations initiatives that support organisational objectives and strengthen community engagement. Working closely with executive leadership, internal teams and external stakeholders, the role delivers targeted campaigns, brand and reputation management, digital communications, social media strategies and executive profiling to promote health services and key initiatives.
It involves creating compelling multi-channel content, coordinating events and stakeholder engagement activities, collaborating on creative collateral, analysing campaign performance to drive continuous improvement and ensuring all communications are accurate, consistent and aligned with organisational priorities. The role also supports media management, promotes innovation and quality improvement and contributes to fostering positive health outcomes and a strong public profile for the organisation.
This is a Full-Time permanent role based within the Mid North Coast Local Health District, with office locations in Coffs Harbour and Port Macquarie.
About You
You are a strategic communications and marketing professional with proven experience in developing and delivering integrated marketing, public relations and communication initiatives that align with organisational objectives. With strong project management and organisational skills, you thrive in fast paced environments, successfully managing multiple priorities while delivering high-quality outcomes within tight deadlines.
You have extensive experience developing strategic communication plans, creating engaging digital and social media content, managing executive communications and building strong stakeholder relationships across a range of audiences. Your ability to think creatively and identify innovative opportunities enables you to develop impactful campaigns, evaluate performance and continuously improve engagement outcomes.
An accomplished writer and editor with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, you will need to produce clear, accurate and compelling communications that strengthen brand reputation and support organisational priorities. You will enjoy working both independently and collaboratively as part of high performing teams and am committed to delivering professional, responsive and customer focused communication solutions.
You will also be required to hold a current unrestricted Australian driver's licence and willing to travel as required and be available to participate in an afterhours media roster.
