Lighting Sales Consultant – Part Time/Full Time
We are a family run lighting store seeking a motivated sales consultant to join our team.
In this role, you will be the first point of contact for clients, helping them select lighting solutions for residential and commercial projects. You'll provide expert guidance on design options and product selection while delivering outstanding customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist clients in the showroom, over the phone, and via email with product enquiries and recommendations.
- Consult with clients to understand their lighting requirements for new homes and renovation projects.
- Provide professional advice on lighting design, product selection, and electrical solutions.
- Prepare accurate quotes and invoices in a timely manner.
- Process customer orders and coordinate with suppliers for order fulfilment.
- Provide after sales support, addressing enquiries and maintaining client satisfaction.
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships throughout the sales process.
- Present the showroom to a high standard, maintaining attractive product displays and current inventory.
- Work closely with the Sales Manager and business owner to achieve sales targets and contribute to business growth.
- Manage client enquiries and complete timely follow ups.
- Maintain current knowledge of lighting products, technologies, and industry trends.
What we're looking for:
- Background in retail sales, customer service, or client facing roles. Experience in lighting, home décor, or related industries is valued but not required.
- Strong communication skills with a customer first approach.
- Ability to multitask and manage quotes, invoices, and follow ups effectively.
- Self directed approach to work with a focus on achieving sales objectives.
- Ability to perform well in a fast paced retail environment.
- Basic computer skills, including email, invoicing software, and spreadsheets.
- Flexibility to work across multiple locations as needed (part time position).
- Team oriented mindset with a professional and positive attitude.
