About the Role
We are seeking a Customer Service Engineer (Level 1 IT Support / Field Service Technician) to join our growing field operations team.
This role involves on-site IT support, troubleshooting, installations, and maintenance of hardware, software, and networking equipment across client sites in ACT and regional NSW.
You will work across a variety of environments including retail, banking, healthcare, and commercial sites, supporting critical IT systems such as POS terminals, kiosks, PCs, and network devices.
Full training will be provided on client-specific systems and equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide Level 1 IT support for desktops, laptops, POS systems, kiosks, and peripherals
- Perform on-site troubleshooting, diagnosis, and resolution of technical issues
- Complete installations, upgrades, relocations, and decommissioning of IT equipment
- Support basic networking tasks including connectivity, cabling, and device setup
- Accurately document service activities, fault resolution, and parts usage in ticketing systems
- Communicate effectively with clients and internal teams
- Participate in after-hours, weekend, and on-call rosters as required
About You
- Previous experience in IT Support, Field Service Technician, or Help Desk (Level 1) role
- Strong knowledge of Windows OS, hardware troubleshooting, and basic networking
- Ability to work independently across multiple client sites
- Strong problem-solving and customer service skills
- Comfortable working in a field-based, mobile role
- Valid Australian Driver’s Licence (essential)
- Willingness to travel across ACT and regional NSW
- Willingness to work on Weekends, afterhours as and when required
Highly Desirable (Not Essential)
- Experience supporting POS systems, kiosks, ATMs, or retail IT equipment
- IT certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft certifications
- White Card (Construction Induction)
- Asbestos Awareness / Silica Safety training
- Experience in retail, banking, healthcare, or field service environments

Pay: $50,000.00 – $65,000.00 per year
