Capstone Tuition is looking for a friendly, reliable and capable Primary 1-on-1 Tutor to support primary school students in English and Maths.
Lessons may be conducted online or in person. For in-person lessons, tutors may travel to the student’s home or meet at a local library around Baulkham Hills and surrounding areas.
About the role
You will work with primary students one-on-one to help improve their confidence, understanding and academic skills. Lessons may include reading, writing, spelling, grammar, comprehension, maths, NAPLAN preparation and general homework support.
Responsibilities
Teach primary English and Maths in a clear and engaging way
Support students based on their individual learning needs
Help students build confidence in literacy and numeracy
Prepare or adapt lesson materials when needed
Provide feedback on student progress
Communicate professionally with students, parents and the Capstone Tuition team
Conduct online lessons or travel to students’ homes/local libraries for in-person lessons
Requirements
Strong English and Maths skills
Patient, friendly and encouraging personality
Reliable, organised and punctual
Confident working with primary school students
Able to explain concepts clearly and simply
Comfortable teaching online and/or in person
Tutoring or teaching experience is preferred, but not essential for the right candidate.
Pay: $30.00 – $45.00 per hour
