Viva Leisure - Australia’s largest independent health club operator - is seeking an inspiring and commercially minded Studio Manager to lead GROUNDUP Dickson.
GROUNDUP is more than a studio - it’s a premium boutique movement sanctuary offering Reformer Pilates, Mat Pilates, Yoga and Barre in a beautifully designed, light-filled space. As Studio Manager, you will lead the day-to-day operations of the studio, ensuring every touchpoint reflects excellence and aligns with our holistic approach to wellness. In addition to overseeing the movement studio, you'll be responsible for our dedicated wellness space, featuring red light therapy, ice baths, traditional and infrared saunas, ensuring every experience is delivered to the highest standard. You’ll create a serene, revitalising environment where members feel valued, supported and inspired — while driving membership growth, achieving performance targets and maintaining pristine studio standards.
Leading from the front, you will mentor and motivate your team to deliver exceptional service and consistent member experiences. With strong communication skills and a proactive, solutions-focused mindset, you will foster a positive, high-performing culture while identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and growth.

We are looking for someone with:
- Current First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Strong knowledge of and a passion for the fitness and wellness industry, with a genuine commitment to creating exceptional member experiences.
- Demonstrated people management and team leadership experience, with the ability to lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing team.
- Experience in sales and customer service, ideally within the fitness, wellness, or retail sectors.
- Proven sales aptitude with a results-driven mindset and the ability to meet or exceed performance targets.
- Outstanding communication and leadership skills, with a passion for engaging both team members and clients to strengthen the brand.
- Skilled in mentoring and supporting diverse teams, fostering growth and future leadership potential.
- Proven ability to drive operational excellence through strong organisational, administrative, and process management skills.
- Capable of managing multiple priorities effectively while maintaining attention to detail, initiative, and adaptability in a dynamic environment.
- A proactive and solutions-focused mindset, with a commitment to continuous improvement and high service standards.
- Ability to role model Viva values and behaviours, demonstrating professionalism, respect, courtesy, and enthusiasm for the GROUNDUP brand.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook), with familiarity in member booking systems and CRM platforms (desirable).
- Demonstrated experience in a similar Studio, Boutique, Spa, or Club Management role (desirable).
- Drive membership growth and retention by delivering exceptional member experiences and building strong community relationships
- Manage all front-of-house operations, enquiries, administration and reporting to ensure smooth daily performance
- Promote and sell GROUNDUP services and products while achieving sales and performance KPIs
- Execute local marketing initiatives to strengthen brand presence and community engagement
- Oversee day-to-day studio operations, ensuring the space is clean, safe, organised and aligned with brand standards
- Manage opening and closing procedures, maintenance coordination, inventory control and safety compliance
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and member satisfaction
- Recruit, onboard and develop a high-performing team through coaching, training and regular performance feedback
- Manage staff rosters and payroll while fostering a positive, inclusive and accountable team culture
