Chef Wanted – MONTVILLE CAFE BAR GRILL
Location: MONTVILLE
Salary: $79,500 per annum + Superannuation
Hours: Full-time (38 hours per week including some weekend shifts)

MONTVILLE CAFE BAR GRILL is a modern hospitality venue
located in the heart of Montville, Queensland. We offer a dynamic combination of
restaurant dining, café service, and conference and event catering, delivering high-
quality food and service to both local guests and corporate clients.
The Role:
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Chef to join our dynamic kitchen
team. You’ll be responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality meals in a fast-
paced environment while maintaining a clean, safe, and organised kitchen.
Key Responsibilities:
Preparing and cooking food
Demonstrating cooking techniques and advising on preparation procedures
Monitoring the quality of dishes during preparation, cooking, and presentation
Planning menus, estimating food and labour costs, and ordering supplies
Discussing food preparation matters with managers, dietitians, and kitchen
and service staff
Explaining and enforcing food safety and hygiene regulations
Preserving food through freezing and other storage methods
Assisting with staff selection and training when required
What We’re Looking For:
Minimum 3 years of experience working in a busy café or restaurant kitchen
Relevant qualifications – at least a Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or
Certificate IV in Kitchen Management
Strong cooking skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks during service
Excellent understanding of food safety, hygiene, and kitchen operations
A team player with good communication and problem-solving skills
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Flexibility to work some weekend shifts and adapt to changing service needs
A passion for preparing high-quality food and consistently delivering great
customer experiences
