Join our team as a Project Manager - Property & Development
Known internally as Strategic Property Projects Officer
Shape the future of some of Redland City’s most significant property and community projects. As our Project Manager - Property & Development, you'll take the lead in coordinating and delivering major strategic property initiatives, including the exciting IndigiScapes Community Precinct and other high-profile catalyst projects. Working autonomously and in partnership with developers, consultants, engineers, government agencies and community organisations, you'll bring together strategic planning, project management and stakeholder engagement expertise to drive projects from concept to delivery while creating lasting outcomes for the community.
Your responsibilities will include:
Project Leadership – Manage major strategic property and infrastructure projects from planning through to delivery.
Program Coordination – Oversee project schedules, budgets, risks and reporting to ensure successful outcomes.
Business Case Development – Prepare project charters, business cases and evaluation reports that support informed decision-making.
Stakeholder Engagement – Build strong relationships with internal delivery partners, consultants, contractors, developers, government agencies and community partners.
Contractor & Consultant Management – Coordinate external specialists and monitor project deliverables, quality and performance.
Strategic Planning – Support complex land use and development projects while ensuring alignment with organisational priorities.
Governance & Reporting – Prepare project status updates, cost reports and executive reporting for key stakeholders.
Innovation & Funding Opportunities – Identify innovative solutions and funding opportunities to maximise project outcomes.
Skills and experience:
Demonstrated experience delivering significant property, construction, development or infrastructure projects.
Strong project management expertise using recognised methodologies such as PMBOK or Prince2.
Experience managing complex projects involving internal delivery partners,consultants, contractors, developers and multidisciplinary teams.
Sound understanding of land development, planning conditions and construction project delivery.
Proven ability to manage project budgets, schedules, risks and competing priorities.
Exceptional stakeholder engagement, negotiation and relationship management skills.
Strong written communication skills, including preparing technical reports, business cases and project documentation.
Highly self-motivated with the ability to work autonomously while building collaborative partnerships across diverse stakeholder groups.
Tertiary qualifications in Project Management, Property, Town Planning, Engineering or a related discipline, coupled with experience delivering major civil, construction or property development projects, will be highly regarded but not essential.
