We are open to appointing two people to the individual roles or one person who would like to take responsibility for both. **About Wilson Street Kindergarten** Wilson Street Kindergarten is a highly regarded, community-based sessional kindergarten located in Brighton. We provide an inclusive, open-ended and play-based learning environment where each child and family is welcomed and valued. These administrative roles work closely with the Kindergarten Director and volunteer Committee of Management and are integral to the smooth operation of WSK. - **HR Manager** **17.5 hours per week** The HR Manager is responsible for coordinating WSK's human resources, staffing and payroll functions and ensuring the kindergarten continues to meet its staffing, employment and payroll obligations. **Key Responsibilities** * Maintain accurate employee records and personnel files. * Manage staff records through Employment Hero and relevant payroll systems. * Coordinate induction and onboarding of permanent, casual and relief staff. * Assist with casual staffing arrangements and ensure staffing ratios and qualification requirements are maintained. * Maintain staff mandatory training and compliance records. * Coordinate staff recruitment processes as required. * Complete PDP’s (Performance Development Plans) twice annually with staff * Prepare and maintain annual employment contracts and staffing rosters. * Provide day-to-day HR support and communicate staffing matters to employees. * Work closely with the Director and Operations Manager regarding staffing matters and employee requirements. * Check and collate timesheets and payroll information. * Coordinate fortnightly payroll processing. * Monitor employee leave and entitlements. * Maintain payroll and personnel records. * Monitor applicable awards and industrial agreements, including changes to pay rates and superannuation. * Coordinate superannuation, WorkCover and Portable Long Service Leave requirements. * Support the Director, Operations Manager and Committee of Management with other HR and employment matters as required. * Update and review policies * Attend committee and staff meetings - **Enrolments & Fees Manager** **8 hours per week** The Enrolments & Fees Manager is responsible for coordinating WSK's annual enrolment process, managing family enquiries and waitlists, administering kindergarten fees and maintaining accurate enrolment and funding records. This is a highly organised and family-facing role and provides an important link between prospective and current families, the kindergarten team and Committee of Management. **Key Responsibilities** * Manage annual enrolment applications, offers, acceptances and waitlists. * Respond to prospective and current family enquiries in a professional, friendly and timely manner. * Maintain accurate child enrolment and family records. * Coordinate enrolment documentation and ensure required information is received and recorded. * Manage kindergarten group allocations and communicate enrolment outcomes to families. * Liaise with families regarding enrolment changes and available places. * Maintain and manage kindergarten waiting lists throughout the year. * Coordinate fee invoicing and monitor outstanding accounts. * Ensure fees are collected in accordance with WSK policies and procedures. * Maintain accurate fee and payment records. * Administer enrolment deposits, refunds and other relevant payments. * Assist with applicable kindergarten funding and Department of Education requirements. * Maintain relevant concession and funding information. * Assist with required data collection, reporting and financial accountability requirements. * Work closely with the Director, Operations Manager, Treasurer and Committee of Management regarding enrolments and fees. * Prepare enrolment and fee information and reports as required. * Maintain confidentiality and appropriately manage sensitive child and family information. - **Combined HR, Enrolments & Fees Manager** **25.5 hours per week** Applicants seeking additional hours are encouraged to apply for both positions. The combined role provides responsibility for WSK's **HR, staffing and payroll functions together with enrolments and fee administration**. This would suit an experienced administrator or HR professional who enjoys variety, autonomy and working closely with people and would like to become an integral part of the operational management of a community kindergarten. **About You** We are looking for someone who is organised, dependable and confident managing a varied workload with a high level of autonomy. You will ideally have: * Excellent organisational and time-management skills. * Strong written and verbal communication skills. * A warm, professional and approachable manner. * Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. * Confidence working independently and managing competing priorities. * Strong computer and administrative skills. * The ability to maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive employee, child and family information. * Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive relationships with staff, families and Committee members. * A proactive approach and willingness to take ownership of your area of responsibility. * Relevant experience in HR, payroll, administration, enrolments, accounts or fee management, depending on the position being applied for. Experience within early childhood education or a community-based organisation would be highly regarded but is **not essential**.
