This is a maternity relief position and should the permanent incumbent require an early return from maternity leave, this contract of employment will cease with two weeks notice. Maternity relief positions can be for a period of up to 12 months, with the possibility of continued employment for up to a further 12 months for maternity leave reduced hours, therefore there are no claims to permanency.

About the Opportunity
Join our Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) team and play a vital role in supporting young people experiencing moderate to severe mental health challenges through evidence-based, recovery-focused care.
In this role you will:

Provide assessment, assertive outreach and intensive case management to children, adolescents and their families.

Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions using trauma-informed and recovery-oriented approaches.

Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, community partners, schools, GPs and other healthcare providers to support integrated care.

Develop, implement and review care plans that actively involve young people, families and carers in decision-making.

Participate in case conferences, service development and quality improvement initiatives to enhance outcomes for young people across the Central Coast.

About You
Working within a dynamic multidisciplinary team, you will bring a passion for supporting young people and their families, along with the clinical expertise and collaborative approach needed to deliver high-quality mental health care.
We are looking for someone who has:

Relevant qualifications, professional registration and demonstrated experience in child, adolescent or mental health services.

Experience delivering evidence-based assessments, interventions and case management for young people experiencing mental health challenges.

Strong knowledge of crisis intervention, trauma-informed practice and recovery-oriented models of care.

Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage effectively with young people, families, carers and external stakeholders.

The ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team while managing competing priorities across multiple sites.
