Weldingmen is looking for a motivated Metal Fabricator Apprentice to join our growing team in Banksmeadow.
This is a great opportunity for someone who is hands-on, reliable and keen to build a career in metal fabrication while completing a nationally recognised apprenticeship.
About the Role
As a Metal Fabricator Apprentice, you will learn and develop skills in:
- Reading and interpreting workshop drawings
- Measuring, cutting and preparing steel and metal components
- MIG and TIG welding
- Fabricating handrails, balustrades, staircases and structural steel
- Using hand and power tools safely
- Grinding, drilling and finishing metalwork
- Working with experienced fabricators and welders
- Maintaining a clean and safe workshop
About You
We are looking for someone who:
- Is genuinely interested in metal fabrication and welding
- Is reliable, punctual and willing to learn
- Has a strong work ethic and positive attitude
- Enjoys practical, hands-on work
- Can follow instructions and work as part of a team
- Is committed to completing their apprenticeship
- Previous workshop or trade experience is advantageous but not essential
