Yard Hand / Forklift Driver – Timber Wholesale

Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time
Pay: $30.00 – $35.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 6:30am – 2:30pm
We are currently seeking a reliable and physically fit Yard Hand / Forklift Driver to join a well-established timber wholesale company.
This is a permanent full-time role suited to someone who has experience working in a yard, warehouse, timber, building supplies, steel, manufacturing, or similar environment. The role will involve operating a counterbalance forklift, handling long-length timber products, assisting with loading and unloading, and keeping the yard organised and safe.
We are looking for someone with the right attitude, reliable, hands-on, safety-focused, and willing to work as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities
- Operating a counterbalance forklift safely and efficiently
- Loading and unloading timber and long-length products
- Picking, packing, and preparing customer orders
- Assisting with yard duties and manual handling
- Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe work area
- Working closely with the warehouse, yard, and operations team
- Following all workplace health and safety procedures
About You
- Current forklift licence required
- Experience operating a counterbalance forklift
- Previous experience handling long-length products highly regarded
- Timber, building supplies, steel, warehouse, or yard experience preferred
- Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling
- Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Ability to work Monday to Friday, 6:30am – 2:30pm
