Job Description: We are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager (Superannuation) to lead Adaca's growth into the Australian superannuation sector. In this hunter role, you will own the full new-business cycle - from identifying and targeting key accounts to converting complex opportunities into long-term consulting and delivery engagements with industry, retail, and corporate super funds, administrators, custodians, and group insurers.
Key Responsibilities:
Pipeline & Business Development
· Build and execute a growth strategy for the superannuation vertical across Australia, targeting industry, retail, and corporate super funds, administrators, custodians, group insurers, and adjacent service providers.
· Generate qualified pipeline through outbound prospecting, account-based marketing, industry events (AIST, ASFA, FSC, Investment Magazine), partner ecosystems, and warm referrals.
· Run a disciplined sales process from first conversation to signed Statement of Work, typically 6–12 weeks for initial engagements with land-and-expand potential.
Solutioning & Client Engagement
· Partner with Solution Architects and Delivery Leads to scope proposals, build commercials, and pitch tailored solutions that win on value, not price.
· Represent Adaca at industry events and panels, building a personal brand as a trusted advisor in superannuation technology.
Market Intelligence & Strategy
· Feed market intelligence back into marketing, product, and partnership strategies, helping shape Adaca's offerings over the next 12–24 months.
Qualifications:
Essential
· Existing network of senior contacts across Australian super funds, administrators, custodians, or group insurers.
· Background selling into superannuation, wealth, or financial services as a hunter — strongest fits include member administration platform BDMs, group life/TPD insurance BDMs and custodian BDMs
· Proven hunter - personally cold-sourced pipeline and carried an individual new-business number.
· 5+ years of consultative B2B sales experience.
· Strong commercial instincts and excellent written communication.
Highly Regarded
· Experience selling onshore-offshore or blended delivery models.
· Background in management consulting, fund operations, or superannuation policy.
