An exciting opportunity has become available for a highly motivated and experienced clinician to join the leadership team at Pindara Private Hospital.
As the Nurse Unit Manager, you will play a key leadership role within our 34-bed Oncology Ward, supporting patients throughout their journey from diagnosis and treatment through to recovery and ongoing care. Our dedicated team takes pride in delivering exceptional patient-centred care, consistently exceeding Ramsay's high standards through professionalism, compassion, and a commitment to creating a supportive environment for both patients and staff.
Working closely with the multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for the effective management of staff, resources, and clinical operations, ensuring the delivery of safe, high-quality care in line with organisational policies, procedures, and best practice standards.
Reporting to the Assistant Director of Clinical Services, you will provide strong leadership, mentorship, and support to a passionate team of nurses and clinical support staff. This role is ideally suited to an individual who is driven to develop others, foster a positive team culture, and inspire excellence in patient care.
Key Responsibilities:

Be accountable for the clinical, operational and professional leadership of the combined surgical and medical unit.

Ensure the delivery of safe, high‑quality patient care and optimal clinical outcomes

Plan, implement and evaluate practices, processes and services in line with Ramsay Health Care standards, legislative requirements and best practice
About You
The successful NUM thrives in a complex and demanding environment and is able to work collaboratively with medical, nursing and executive colleagues. They strive for continuous improvement, quality and safety initiatives, workforce management and effective resource utilisation to achieve excellence in care delivery.
To succeed in this role, you will bring a strong clinical skillset, with recent management experience. You will also bring the following:

Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse

Minimum of five (5) years’ post-graduate nursing experience (surgical experience highly desirable)

Proven knowledge as a senior nurse or manager (highly desirable)
-
Management or relevant post-graduate specialty qualifications will be highly regarded
-
Experience or exposure to managing clinical staff recruitment, rostering and performance management
-
Ability to effectively plan and manage financial, human and capital resources
