Cyanergy is seeking a hands-on Electrical Technician to support the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of solar PV systems, battery storage, and energy efficiency solutions. This field-based role works closely with licensed electricians and project teams to deliver safe, efficient, and compliant renewable energy installations.
What You'll Do?
Installation Work
Assist with installation of solar PV panels and mounting systems.
Install inverters, wiring systems, and battery storage units.
Support commissioning of renewable energy systems.
Work on residential and commercial rooftops and sites.
Electrical Support
Assist licensed electricians with electrical connections and testing.
Check circuits, wiring, and system performance.
Identify and report electrical faults or issues.
Ensure compliance with Australian electrical standards.
Maintenance & Repairs
Carry out routine maintenance on solar and energy systems.
Troubleshoot system faults and performance issues.
Replace faulty components when required.
Support warranty and service work orders.
Safety & Compliance
Follow strict electrical safety procedures (AS/NZS standards).
Use PPE and maintain safe work practices on-site.
Report hazards and complete safety documentation.
Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety regulations.
Team Collaboration
Work alongside electricians, installers, and project managers.
Support installation schedules and project deadlines.
Communicate site updates and operational issues clearly.
What We're Looking For?
Electrical trade experience, apprenticeship, or technical training.
Basic understanding of solar PV and renewable energy systems.
Strong commitment to workplace safety.
Ability to work at heights (roof installations).
Physically fit and able to work in outdoor environments.
Desirable Skills
Electrical licence or working toward certification.
Experience in solar installation or renewable energy projects.
White Card (construction safety certification).
Knowledge of Australian electrical standards.
