Capital SMART is Australia and New Zealand's leading accident repair network, with 60+ sites and a reputation for delivering repairs to the highest standard. We're looking for an experienced Paint Prepper to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis.
The Role
You'll be the critical link between panel repair and the spray booth — responsible for getting every vehicle prepped to a standard that allows our painters to deliver a flawless finish.
What you'll be doing:

Sanding, filling, and shaping repaired panels to a smooth finish

Applying and blocking body filler and primers

Masking vehicles in preparation for painting

Identifying and addressing surface imperfections before paint application

Working closely with panel beaters and painters to keep jobs moving

Maintaining a clean, safe workspace and completing job documentation
What we're looking for:

Previous experience as a Paint Prepper or Panel Prepper in a smash repair environment

Solid knowledge of sanding, filling, priming, and masking techniques

Ability to work efficiently within a production repair process

Strong eye for detail — you know what a good prep job looks like

Reliable, safety-conscious, and a team player
