Are you a self-sufficient Senior Electrical Engineer looking for a leadership role where you can drive technical excellence and help grow our presence? We are seeking an experienced engineer to join our Newcastle team to coordinate workgroups and deliver electrical control and power systems design across diverse industrial sectors.
Working closely with our Principal Engineers and national network, you will manage projects from concept through to commissioning support while developing engineering talent and building strong client partnerships.
Key Responsibilities

Coordinate and manage engineering workgroups delivering electrical, control, and power system design solutions.
- Guide, mentor, and review the technical deliverables of Project Engineers and Graduate Engineers.
- Manage end-to-end project execution, including scope, schedules, budget management, WIP, and reporting.
- Lead the preparation of high-quality technical reports, specifications, and white papers from concept through to post-commissioning.
- Ensure all designs maintain 100% compliance with ISO 9001 quality systems, AS/NZS standards, and legislative requirements.
- Contribute to business development by identifying new market opportunities, maintaining client relationships, and supporting tender proposals.
- Drive continuous improvement across company engineering systems, safety culture, and quality standards.
What You Will Bring

Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering (eligible for Engineers Australia membership).
- Minimum of 7+ years of relevant industry experience in electrical systems design and project delivery.
- Advanced technical understanding of power systems, process control systems (PCS), and electrical software design packages.
- Proven capability in managing project financials, resource allocation, and delivering to target deadlines.
- Chartered status (CPEng / NER / NSW Registration / RPEQ) or eligibility to attain registration.
- Approachable leadership style with strong communication, interpersonal, and team-mentoring abilities.
