About the Role
As a Disability Support Worker, you will provide person-centred support to NDIS participants both in their homes and within the community. You will play a key role in promoting independence, enhancing quality of life, and implementing positive behaviour support strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, person-centred support to participants.
- Support individuals who display Behaviours of Concern (BOC)
- Implement Behaviour Support Plans consistently and professionally.
- Assist participants with community access, including social outings, appointments, recreational activities, shopping, and skill-building.
- Promote independence while ensuring participant safety and wellbeing.
- Build positive, professional relationships with participants, families, and allied health professionals.
- Maintain accurate shift notes, incident reports, and other required documentation.
- Work collaboratively with the wider Easy iCare team to achieve participant goals.
Essential Requirements
- Demonstrated experience supporting participants with Behaviours of Concern.
- Experience implementing Behaviour Support Plans.
- Strong community access experience and confidence supporting participants in a variety of community settings.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and de-escalation skills.
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check.
- Current Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain).
- Current First Aid and CPR Certificate.
- Current Australian Driver's Licence and a reliable, insured vehicle.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Pay: $32.00 – $35.00 per hour
