The Team
Our Melbourne Tax team are continuing to grow and are looking to add an experienced income tax professional to support our expanding practice.
The team advises a diverse client base (within Funds and FS, as well as other industries), including private groups, corporates and investment structures.
Our work often goes beyond standard compliance, with strong exposure to advisory-driven, technically interesting and commercially focused matters.
You’ll be joining a close‑knit, collegiate team that places a high value on collaboration, autonomy and delivering high‑quality outcomes for clients, with direct access to senior leadership and minimal bureaucracy.
How You Will Contribute
As an Assistant Manager/ Senior Analyst or Manager, you’ll work across income tax compliance and tax advisory matters, supporting clients through a range of technical and practical tax issues.
Your responsibilities will include:
Preparing and reviewing income tax returns, provisions, tax distributions and related deliverables
Advising clients on Australian income tax matters, including structuring considerations
Supporting tax advisory engagements alongside senior team members
Collaborating with colleagues across the Tax team and broader A&M business
Contributing to client relationships through clear, pragmatic and commercially focused advice
Experience in funds or the broader financial services space is highly regarded but not essential.
Qualifications
To be successful in the role, you ideally bring the following with you -
Demonstrated experience in providing income tax services within a Big 4 or mid-tier professional services firm
Strong technical foundations in income tax compliance and advisory
Clear written and verbal communication skills
A collaborative, pragmatic and solutions-focused mindset
An ability to think differently and contribute positively
