Job Opportunities Available
We are currently seeking enthusiastic Junior Casual Assistants to support the day-to-day operations of our Kumon Education Centres. If you have strong Maths or English skills and enjoy working with children, we'd love to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities
- Mark and record student worksheets accurately.
- Encourage students to identify and correct their own mistakes.
- Organise and prepare worksheets for class.
- Motivate and support students from kindergarten through to high school.
- Provide guidance and hints to assist students with their Maths and English classwork.
- Mark classwork and homework, and record student progress.
- Assist with other general centre duties as required.
Hourly pay is based on the applicable award and the successful applicant's age and experience.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will:
- Hold, or be willing to obtain, a Working with Children Check.
- Be proficient in high school level Maths and/or English.
- Have strong organisational skills and the ability to multitask.
- Be reliable, responsible and able to learn quickly.
- Enjoy working with children in a positive learning environment.
Applications are encouraged from high school students aged 15 years and above, as well as former Kumon students and Kumon programme completers.
Work Days and Hours
Casual Positions
- Weekday afternoons (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday), typically between 3:30 pm and 6:00 pm.
Part-time Positions
- Suitable for candidates seeking regular weekday afternoon hours, with shifts totalling up to 12 hours per week.
Pay: $11.84 – $33.08 per hour
