A Health Information Manager oversees the management of patient health records and clinical information systems, ensuring the accuracy, security, accessibility, and compliance of health data with Australian healthcare regulations and privacy standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage electronic and paper-based health records.
- Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and confidentiality of patient information.
- Monitor compliance with health information management standards and privacy legislation.
- Oversee clinical coding, health data quality, and medical record audits.
- Support clinicians and hospital staff in accessing health information systems.
- Develop and implement health information policies and procedures.
- Prepare health data reports and statistical analyses for management.
- Coordinate record retention, archiving, and information governance activities.
- Assist with accreditation, quality improvement, and regulatory compliance programs.
- Collaborate with clinical, administrative, and IT teams to improve health information systems.
Pay: From $9,500.00 per month
