About the role
We are seeking a passionate, experienced, and capable Maintenance Officer to join our team to support and maintain our Mt Gravatt facility.
Key responsibilities
Perform various maintenance tasks, from basic repairs to complex projects
Manage projects within set time frames with minimal supervision
Demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to respectfully interact with residents, families, colleagues, and contractors
Work independently and collaboratively within a team
Exhibit problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Ensure high standards of workmanship and customer satisfaction
Maintain impeccable personal presentation
About you
Competence in performing various maintenance tasks, from basic repairs to complex projects
Previous hands-on experience in handyman, commercial maintenance, building, or construction industries
Skills in carpentry, tiling, painting, plastering, labouring, property maintenance, or handyman tasks
Experience in facility maintenance
Possession of a White Card is advantageous
Successful completion of a Police Check is required
A satisfactory Police Clearance Certificate is required as per the Aged Care Act 1997
