Uncle Frankie's Cafe in remote Thursday Island - Torres Strait is looking for a skilled and experienced Barista to join our team. We are a bustling coffee shop that takes pride in serving high-quality coffee to our customers. Responsibilities:
· Prepare and serve coffee and other beverages to customers
· Selling and serving light snacks such as sandwiches, pastries, and salads
· Ensure quality control of coffee and other beverages served
· Maintain cleanliness of equipment and work area
· Provide exceptional customer service and ensure a positive experience for all customers
· Assist with daily tasks such as cleaning, restocking supplies, and cash handling
· Work as part of a team to ensure efficient and effective operation of the coffee shop
Requirements:
· At least one year of experience as a Barista
· A relevant AQF Certificate II or III would be advantageous
· Knowledge of coffee preparation techniques, equipment, and latte art
· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask
· Excellent communication and customer service skills
· Positive attitude and willingness to learn
· Available to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
We offer a friendly and supportive work environment. You will be employed under the Restaurant Industry Award 2020 with a salary ranging from $69,000.00 to $77,000.00 depending on experience.
The successful candidate would be provided with free accommodation.
