Your typical day as a Debt Resolution Officer may include:
- Provide prompt, helpful and supportive client service (both internal and external, whilst adhering to the client charter.
- Provide support to Service Officers through the completion of Help Desk requests and Debt Resolution Officers referrals.
- Analyse, interpret and apply legislation to investigations and resolve inquiries.
- Undertake challenging negotiations and effectively manage client relationships over the phone to achieve intended results of debt finalisation.
- Support the team to build a positive and participative culture aligned to our values and expectations.
To be successful in this role you will need to demonstrate:
- Resilience, patience and persistence and the ability to remain calm in challenging negotiations.
- A strong working knowledge of digital and data technology/systems.
- Capability to analyse, interpret and apply legislation and/or policy to achieve successful outcomes.
- High level of interpersonal and influential communication skills within a client-focused environment.
- Basic financial analysis skills.
