About the Role
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and has a focus on planning, organisation, and continuous improvement.
Working closely with our Procurement and Operations teams, you will be responsible for production schedules, ensuring raw materials, and packaging are available when needed, maintaining accurate production data, and helping keep our manufacturing operations running smoothly and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan raw materials and packaging according to the production schedule.
- Build and manage daily and weekly production schedules.
- Coordinate daily production activities with the Operations team.
- Work closely with Procurement to ensure raw materials and packaging are available to meet production requirements.
- Develop and maintain master data, including Bills of Materials (BOMs), production run rates, and planning parameters.
- Accurately enter and maintain production information within the ERP system.
- Monitor inventory levels of raw materials and production supplies
- Conduct weekly stocktakes and maintain inventory accuracy.
- Identify opportunities to improve planning processes and operational efficiency.
- Communicate effectively across departments to ensure production targets and customer requirements are achieved.
Skills and Experience
- 3+ years' experience in a planning or production support role, ideally within food manufacturing or a production environment.
- Experience using ERP/MRP systems.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent organisational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with inventory management or production planning is highly regarded.
