The Role
Technology is one of Pepper Money's largest areas of investment, and we're looking for a commercially minded leader to help shape how that investment is managed, governed and optimised.
As a Technology Business Manager, you'll be responsible for creating greater visibility and control across technology financials, workforce planning, vendor management and operational reporting. Working closely with senior leaders across Technology, Finance, Procurement and HR, you'll provide the insights and commercial guidance that support better business decisions and drive long-term value.
Lead technology budgeting, forecasting and financial management activities
Drive visibility of technology costs, consumption and investment performance
Partner with technology leaders to improve financial accountability and cost management
Oversee vendor contracts, renewals, commercial negotiations and supplier performance
Develop workforce planning and headcount reporting across permanent and contract resources
Deliver meaningful reporting, dashboards and insights that support strategic decisions
Identify process improvements and opportunities to increase operational efficiency
Build strong partnerships across Technology, Finance, Procurement, HR and other business functions
Lead and develop a team responsible for technology operations and financial administration
About you
You understand that great technology organisations need more than strong technical capability, they also need commercial rigour, financial discipline and clear decision-making. You're equally comfortable discussing budgets with Finance, contracts with Procurement and workforce planning with HR as you are partnering with Technology leaders.
You bring a strong financial foundation and enjoy solving complex business problems. Whether it's improving reporting, simplifying manual processes, challenging spend or helping leaders better understand their cost base, you're someone who naturally looks for smarter ways of working and takes ownership of driving outcomes.
- Bring experience in technology business management, technology finance or commercial management
- Demonstrate strong budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis capability
- Understand technology cost drivers, vendor management and procurement practices
- Build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders across multiple business functions
- Communicate complex financial information in a simple and actionable way
- Drive process improvement, standardisation and operational excellence
- Analyse data and translate insights into meaningful business outcomes
- Lead teams while creating accountability, engagement and strong performance
- Hold relevant qualifications in finance, accounting, business or technology
CA, CPA or TBM certification will be highly regarded
