About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and customer-focused Mobile Phone Technician to join our team in Ballarat. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a range of smartphones and electronic devices while providing excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair smartphones, tablets, and other mobile devices.
- Perform screen, battery, charging port, camera, speaker, microphone, and other hardware replacements.
- Troubleshoot software issues, operating system problems, and device faults.
- Conduct quality checks and testing after repairs.
- Handle customer enquiries and explain repair requirements clearly.
- Provide accurate repair estimates and turnaround times.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe work environment.
- Keep up to date with new mobile phone models, repair techniques, and technologies.
- Manage repair parts, tools, and inventory as required.
- Follow company procedures for customer data privacy and device security.
Skills & Experience
- Previous experience as a mobile phone or electronics technician is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of iPhone, Samsung, Google Pixel and other popular smartphone brands.
- Experience with phone screen and battery replacement.
- Good fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
- Basic understanding of electronic components and repair tools.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable, punctual, and willing to learn new repair techniques.
Desirable
- Experience with microsoldering and board-level repairs.
- Experience repairing tablets, laptops, smartwatches, or other consumer electronics.
- Relevant electronics or technology qualifications.
- Previous retail or customer service experience.
