We are looking for an experienced HSEQ Advisor to join our team and play a key role in supporting the safe, compliant and sustainable operation of our transport and logistics network, which supports the which partners with a major customer operating within the resources sector. Working closely with operational leaders and frontline teams, you'll drive continuous improvement across health, safety, environment and quality systems while fostering a strong safety culture across a key resources-sector operation.
What You'll Be Doing
- Act as the primary HSEQ advisor for a key resources-sector customer portfolio, driving safety performance, compliance and continuous improvement across operations.
- Support the implementation of Centurion's HSEQ Strategic and Tactical Plans and contribute to key business safety initiatives.
- Assist in the development and review of HSEQ procedures, safe work procedures and risk management processes.
- Deliver HSE training and coaching to operational teams, including Myosh use, Take 5s, JSAs, CRAs/CRIs and Permit to Work systems.
- Facilitate workplace inspections, hazard identification activities, risk assessments and critical risk management processes.
- Maintain and review HSEQ Risk Registers and support operational teams in managing risk effectively.
- Conduct internal audits and support external audits to ensure compliance with legislative and company requirements.
- Lead critical incident investigations and participate in other investigations as required, assist with implementing actions and develop and issue HSEQ Alerts and Learnings.
- Support emergency preparedness and response activities across operations.
- Attend and contribute to toolbox talks, pre-start meetings, HSE meetings and customer forums.
- Travel to support regional operations approx. 3 days every two months.
- Coach leaders and workers to strengthen HSEQ awareness, accountability and culture.
- Prepare, analyse and report HSE lead and lag indicators.
- Ensure the quality and integrity of HSE data within Myosh.
- Support environmental and WHS compliance obligations across the contract.
What You'll Bring
- 3–5 years' experience in a HSEQ Advisor, HSEQ Coordinator or similar role.
- Experience within the transport, logistics, mining, construction or related heavy industry sectors.
- Sound understanding of WHS and environmental legislation and risk management principles.
- Strong experience conducting incident investigations, workplace audits and risk assessments.
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to influence and coach operational teams.
- Experience using safety management systems, preferably Myosh.
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills including Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- Excellent communication, reporting and organisational skills.
- A proactive approach with a genuine commitment to workplace safety and continuous improvement.
