About the role
BYV Organics works with landholders across regional Queensland to support practical farming outcomes and soil improvement through land-based operations.
We’re seeking a Stakeholder Engagement Advisor to work across both landholder engagement and community-facing activities, supporting ongoing operations as well as key regional projects and emerging initiatives.
This role is a mix of on-farm engagement and working with local stakeholders and community members—building relationships, supporting communication, and helping ensure sites and projects are well understood and delivered in a practical way.
The role will be based locally, with a regular presence in the community.
Key responsibilities
- Work directly with landholders to identify and secure suitable properties for ongoing operations
- Meet on-farm to assess paddock suitability and talk through practical options with landholders
- Support early conversations with neighbours and help ensure clear understanding of activities and outcomes
- Build strong relationships with agronomists, rural advisors, and local networks to support land access opportunities
- Work with community members to understand concerns and support land access opportunities
- Coordinate with technical consultants to support site assessments and approvals
- Assist with site planning, including initial property reviews and paddock suitability checks
- Lead and support stakeholder engagement for key regional projects, including new and developing initiatives.
About you
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Comfortable working with both farmers and local communities
- Experience in stakeholder or community engagement (highly regarded)
- Background in agriculture or rural operations preferred
- Relevant qualification in agriculture, environmental science or a related field (desirable but not essential)
- Practical mindset with good judgement
- Able to manage conversations and issues in a calm, respectful way
- Self-motivated and able to work independently
- Willing to travel across regional areas
- Existing network within the local agricultural community highly regarded
