Role overview
Join a local and dedicated support team as a Casual Disability Support Worker. Work alongside an experienced team in a close‑knit group of support workers to deliver community‑focused, person‑centred supports. Casual shifts available across weekdays, afternoons, evenings and weekends.
Key responsibilities
- Provide respectful, person‑centred support for community access and in‑home tasks.
- Assist with daily living tasks (shopping, meal prep, transport, social activities).
- Attend and support participants at scheduled appointments (including clinic attendance when required).
- Follow individual support plans, behaviour support strategies and safety procedures.
- Update shift notes via the app and communicate with Team Leaders and the team.
- Maintain professional boundaries and protect participant privacy and dignity.
Who we’re looking for
- Enthusiastic, compassionate and patient with strong listening and communication skills.
- Ability to build trusting relationships while maintaining clear professional boundaries.
- Reliable, flexible and team‑oriented. Lived experience welcome.
- Experience with personal care or complex behaviours is beneficial but not required.
Requirements (on commencement)
- Permanent Australian working rights (required).
- Valid Australian driver’s licence (required).
- Comprehensive car insurance (required).
- NDIS Worker Orientation Module (required).
- NDIS Worker Screening Check (required).
- Ability to travel reliably across the listed regions (required).
- First Aid/CPR & Epilepsy (Seizure) training (required).
Pay & conditions
- Weekday base rate: $35.15–$38 per hour (dependent on role/experience).
- Higher rates/penalties apply for afternoons, nights, weekends and public holidays; complex care allowance for high‑intensity clients; kilometre reimbursement available (whilst participants are travelling in your vehicle with you).
- Cancellation guarantee: if a booked shift is cancelled within 24 hours and we cannot offer a suitable alternative, you will be paid for the shift.
