Site Silo Crew Leading Hand
Allied Grain Systems is looking for an experienced Site Silo Crew Leading Hand to join our site construction team.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone with experience in silo construction, steel assembly or similar site-based work, who is confident leading a small crew and working away on projects throughout Australia.
About the Role
You will assist with the construction and installation of grain storage silos and associated equipment, while leading and supporting a small crew on site.
Key duties include:
- Leading a crew of 3–5 site workers
- Completing silo construction and installation tasks
- Reading drawings, manuals and installation instructions
- Installing silo floors, walls, roofs, aeration systems, ladders, platforms and related equipment
- Supporting safe work practices and completing site documentation
- Conducting toolbox meetings and pre-starts
- Communicating professionally with clients, contractors and site personnel
About You
You will have:
- Experience in silo construction, steel assembly or similar construction work
- Ability to work independently and lead a small team
- Strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship
- Good communication and problem-solving skills
- Willingness to work away from home on rostered projects
Required Tickets
- Construction White Card
- Working at Heights
- Elevated Work Platforms under 11m
- Current Driver Licence
Forklift, telehandler, confined space and EWP over 11m tickets will be highly regarded.
Working Conditions
This is a permanent full-time position. Current indicative swing is 3 weeks on / 1 week off, depending on project and site requirements.
