At the heart of the hotel sits Shoreline Kitchen, a new all day dining concept open to guests and locals alike. As we open our doors for the first time, we’re building a team that leads from the front, and our Food & Beverage Supervisor is central to making that happen.
About the role
As a Food & Beverage Supervisor at Shoreline Kitchen, you’ll be the connective tissue between the team on the floor and the management above. You’ll keep service running smoothly, hold the standard, and help build a culture your team is proud to be part of, from the very first shift.
You’ll work closely with the Food & Beverage Manager, supporting the broader Food & Beverage team in delivering exceptional service. You’ll be hands on, present on the floor, and always close to the action.
What you’ll be doing
- Supervise all aspects of Food & Beverage outlet operations, including booking management, stock control, POS system updates, reporting, and ensuring opening and closing checklists are completed every shift without fail.
- Greet and seat guests promptly, ensure timely and accurate service, handle complaints effectively, and actively encourage feedback for continuous improvement. Guest experience isn’t just a priority, it’s the standard.
- Lead by example with a hands on approach, maintain grooming and service standards, and provide daily on the job training. You support onboarding, cross training, rostering, and performance management, always with care and consistency.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, presentation, and product knowledge across the operation. You stay curious about menu trends and pairings, and you’re always looking for new ways to improve efficiency and service delivery.
- Foster teamwork within the outlet and across hotel departments, support conferences and events when required, and keep open communication lines with managers and relevant teams. You promote a positive culture where people enjoy coming to work.
About you
You’re an experienced hospitality professional who leads with warmth and holds the line on standards. You know how to get the best out of a team, keep service tight under pressure, and still make every guest feel like the most important person in the room. You’re ready to step up and own the floor.
You’ll ideally bring:
- Experience working in Sydney’s hospitality scene or a similar fast paced Food & Beverage environment
- A collaborative mindset and genuine passion for developing your team and yourself
- Attention to detail and a real pride in delivering a consistently great product
- Tech savvy with POS systems and comfortable with basic financial reporting
- Flexibility to work varied shifts including weekends and evenings
